I purchased this product after scouring multiple products for days trying to find something in my budget for a round-trip interstate ride on my motorcycle. These panniers were repeatedly the cheapest that also came up with additional items such as rain covers and simple mounting hardware. Good Panniers ARE expensive and can last a long time in many environments. Although these aren't breaking the bank they can compete rather decently. I wish they had a few modifications to strengthen the design for years to come but that's not what I bought them for. The product arrived in good time and was packaged well (unmarked cardboard box). They are made overall of rather thin nylon canvas material that can survive a trip or two without much fuss. They can be stretched out and possibly break in the process so beware in doing so. The underside is an area of concern due to the thin material and the heat some exhausts produce and an additional layer of some heat resistive material would be welcomed here. But on a Triumph Thruxton R, mounted under the seat, these panniers had a few inches from touching the exhaust and the heat was not an issue. They are NOT name-brand quality and can age rather quickly if not treated with care. BUT they are very useful and can fit a variety of styles of motorcycles. They are simple yet effective panniers with their outermost covering made of some harder molded rubbery plastic material. And they have ample room for a variety of items. ( I had a complete two-man tent and small cooking hardware along with clothes in mine) I'm not betting on surviving a fall but the idea is not to fall either. I hope they can survive for some time but I'm not trying to travel that much.
